WHY MOBILE HOMES DO NOT REQUIRE AN ENERGY CERTIFICATE AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR OWNERS

Mobile homes, as well as other buildings with a usable floor area of up to 50 m², are EXEMPT FROM THE OBLIGATION to have an energy performance certificate. This exemption results from the European Directive on the energy performance of buildings and also applies under Slovak legislation. Reasons why mobile homes do not require an energy certificate

1. Negligible energy consumption of mobile homes

This exemption is in line with European Directive 2010/31/EU on the energy performance of buildings, which has been implemented into the national legislation of EU Member States. Therefore, mobile homes are exempt from the obligation to have an energy certificate.
